Question 1a. Using Conventions For Real Media Texts

Introduction - Over the two year course I have learned a lot about, not just what the conventions of particular forms and genres are, but how to use them in creative ways for my own work. Prelim task=The College Magazine - I included different types of camera shots, and editing techniques. At A2 I was more confident with my technical ability because of my experience in the first year, but I must admit, being introduced to Adobe Premiere Pro made me feel like I still had a lot to learn about editing software.

Question 1a. Creativity

Intro - Creativity is the making of new things and the re-arranging of the old. For example, the ability to have your own ideas and not just copy other peoples. The ability to do things that are unusual and different. Where did my original ideas come from? - I increased my ability to come up with my own ideas by taking inspiration from other existing products, implementing a bit of everything that I saw helped me to construct my own content. Then at A2 I decided that the facilities available at the college would be ideal to shoot music videos and for photography. some may not consider this as a development in creativity but I think it is because I am showing that I can use the areas in the college and the facilities available like the lighting rigs in the photography studio.

Since then though I have transitioned from being quite a basic editor to a more complex and creative editor of effects, transitions and sound manipulation, I know have the knowledge to find  new ways to manipulate moving image and how to blend them together by using such tools as dissolve transition and basic cuts. I used an SD card to store my footage so that it could be uploaded and edited in a matter of minutes. - On Adobe Premiere Pro I used the timeline to get an accurate position for where I wanted to cut or split the series of images.
